Overview
With the global roll-out of high bandwidth 3G networks, and value added video telephony services rapidly taking centre stage, it will become critical to have a robust and reliable video delivery platform in place to support the complex video transmission processes across different types of networks (Wireless Mobile & IP).
As an integral part of the OASIS Video Solution Suite, the OASIS 3G Video Gateway (3G ViG) supports multiple signalling protocols including SIP, 3G-324M, ISUP and ISDN to manage the complex tasks of signalling conversion from 3G Video (3G–324M) to SIP protocols and vice versa between wireless mobile (circuit and packet switch) and fixed (IP/TDM) networks.
Built as a key component of the OASIS Video Solution Suite, the 3G ViG interops effortlessly with the OASIS Video & Voice Media Server, Video Messaging Platform and any standards based RTSP streaming servers to deliver quality video and voice between the vast range of video enabled end-devices including Mobiles, PDAs, IP Videophones, IP Video Soft clients and IP cameras (3GPP compliant).
The OASIS 3G ViG is a key component in the delivery of real-time video streaming and Interactive Video and Voice Response (IVVR) services, including Mobile TV, Video Messaging & Video Mail, Video Conferencing*, Video Surveillance, Video Gaming* and Video Blogging between 3G and IP networks.
