Overview
With the constant pursuit for higher bandwidth capacity in mobile networks (3G, HSPA) and broadband internet, this has ignited a growing global trend in end-users yearning for more video centric services. OASIS introduces their 3G Video Mail Platform that enables service providers to leverage their high-speed networks and launch compelling multimedia value added services.
Designed as a highly flexible solution, the media agnostic OASIS 3G Video Mail Platform delivers both Voice and Video Messaging features that are accessible by call-back or via dialling a dedicated service number (e.g. short-code)
The strength of the platform lies in its flexibility to provide a highly customisable video mail / messaging menu that offers a spread of intuitive controlling functions including Record, Play, Stop, Save and Delete to facilitate the video recording and message retrieving processes. Users are also given the options to send out messages either to a single party or multiple parties. In addition the platform provides a new message notification feature to promptly alert the subscriber.
As part of the OASIS 3G Video Solution Suite, the platform integrates seamlessly with the OASIS 3G Video Gateway and OASIS Video & Voice Media Server to transcode and transrate messages to the optimal media format (MPEG-4, H.263, G.711, G.723, G.726 G.729 and AMR), based on the display and audio properties of the end-device (Mobile, IP Videophones and PC).
Utilising the network agnostic capabilities of the OASIS Media Server to handle calls with different network signalling protocols, including SIP, ISDN and ISUP, the platform supports converging network service deployments in Mobile (3G, HSPA, GPRS and SMS), Broadband Internet and IP networks.

For Video Messaging, subscribers are offered the option of sending the video message to a single or multiple recipients.
