Media

The following media and interactivity capabilities are supported by the OASIS platform:

• Video – Using open standards video codecs (H.263, MPEG4, H.264), OASIS Video captures and delivers video imagesn real-time from stored or live video sources to support Video Centric Services in 3G / HSPA Mobile Network and IP broadband networks. Advanced Video capabilities include Record, Play, Rewind and Fast Forward, Text Overlay, Video Conferencing and streaming via RTSP.
• Voice – Using a spread of open standards voice codecs (G711, G.723 and AMR), OASIS Voice provides audio for standard and interactive voice calls from live or stored audio sources.
• Speech – Utilising the most common form of communication “speech” allows interactivity by utilising advanced Natural Language Speech Recognition (NLSR) technology from industry leaders Nuance and other MRCP compliant ASR vendors..
• Text-to-Speech (TTS) – Integrated with the high-performance Nuance RealSpeak, Text-to-Speech module, OASIS platform is able to automatically convert data into natural human-sounding speeches in 23 languages and dialects.    
• DTMF – Utilising standard industry DTMF resources that provide tone generation, detection and notification capabilities in different signalling modes (In-band, RFC2833 and Out-of-Band), the OASIS Platform is able to invoke resources to provide intuitive and interactive multimedia (video and voice) calls. 
• Conference – Incorporated with sophisticated conferencing capabilities that provides  adhoc conference setup, join an existing conference and schedule a future conference, OASIS platform supports multiparty video*, voice and mixed media conferences. Participants can also be configured in active (full duplex channel) or passive mode (half duplex channel with listening only capability for call monitoring agents).
• Fax – The delivery and capture of facsimile documents via the T.30 fax standard for the creation of large scale facsimile applications.

• Intuitive Interactivity – Create diverse consumer interactions that are intuitive, compelling and easy to use, to generate usage and service revenue growth. Intelligent multimedia services can be created to provide an optimal experience based on the capabilities of the telephone device.
  
• Consumer Choice – Provide callers with choices of how they want to interact and consume media using the latest mobile technologies.
  
• Real-time Multimedia Experience – Using open standards based (3GPP, GSM and ITU-T) video and voice codecs (H.264, H.263, G.723, G.711 and AMR), OASIS Media provides seamless and efficient media processing that are supported by global GSM 3G networks and technology vendors.
• Compelling Media – The dynamic use of voice and video content and simple interactivity controls can deliver compelling services.
  
• Flexible and Compelling Interactive Services - Service Providers have the flexibility to create their own compelling services through OASIS Voice and Video Media with either Speech or DTMF for interactivity  or both, to tailor the communication needs of their service and reach out to their customers.
